Westlife star set for Crucible POP band Westlife are currently in the middle of an exhausting tour – but that won't stop Shane Filan from ditching the white suit and flying into Sheffield this weekend. For the Irish pin-up is a huge snooker fan, big mates with Ken Doherty, and has booked tickets for the Crucible with a bunch of friends to catch some of the action at the 888.com World Championship. "I've loved the game since I was a kid," revealed the 28-year-old. "I played pool on a table in the local café then started going to snooker clubs and playing snooker once I could reach over the table. "It's been a hobby ever since then. Now I've got a full-size snooker table in my house and I love it. "I've never been to a tournament before. For the last four or five years I've always wanted to go the Crucible but we've always been on tour in April. "But this time I'm going with three friends, we'll be there during the middle weekend, I can't wait. I'm really looking forward to it," Filan told the Crucible's official tournament programme. Filan is no stranger to Sheffield. Westlife played twice in the Steel City last month and are due back for a further date in May before the band take a 12-month break. Filan met Doherty during a golf pro-am at the K Club, and have kept in touch ever since. "I still remember when he won the world title in 1997," he said. "I was watching at home in Sligo. | Here an official statement from Shane, about the baby. Hi everyone, You've probably all heard the news by now, but I wanted to let you know personally that Gillian and I are having another baby! I can't even begin to describe how amazing we're both feeling right now - as you can imagine, we're completely over the moon and Nicole is very excited at the thought of having a little brother or sister to play with. The baby is due in September, so quite a while to go yet, although I'm sure it'll fly by really quickly. Gillian's bump is growing by the day and she's extremely happy and healthy. | I have some amazing news from the Filancamp for you all! Some of you might have heard it already but Shane&Gillian are expecting their 2nd child! Gillian is 3 months pregnant & they're delighted! Westlife's Shane to be a dad again Singer's joy as he reveals wife Gillian is to have second child Westlife star Shane Filan was celebrating last night after revealing he is to become a dad again. The singer called the Irish Daily Mirror to announce the good news and revealed "I can't believe I'm going to become a pop papa for the second time." He and his wife Gillian already have a two-year-old daughter Nicole. Gillian, 28, is 3 months into her pregnancy and announced the new to family and close friends earlier this week. A thrilled Shane, 28, said "We're going to be off from the band for a year from the summer so it seems like the perfect time to add to our family. I'm absolutely over the moon and it's going to be incredible to have two children." "We didn't want to leave it too long to give Nicole a little brother or sister so it's perfect timing. Gillian is an amazing woman and I feel so proud to be having another child with her." Westlife have just kicked off their mammoth world tour which includes live dates around the UK, Ireland, Australia and the Far East. Eyebrows were raised at the Meteor Awards in Dublin a fortnight ago when Gillian refused to drink at the after-show party. But the celebrity couple kept the news secret until their all-important three-months scan. They currently live between a luxurious seven-bedroom mansion in their hometown of Sligo and another sprawling home in Surrey. Shane's Westlife bandmates have also joined the parent club. Nicky Byrne and his wife Georgina had twins last year while ex-band-mate Brian McFadden has two daughters Molly and Lily Sue with his ex-wife Kerry Katona. Shane added "It's going to be hectic in the Filan household with two little ones running around but we really can't wait. Guys, I need your help. All European fans, please read on. Gitta & Daja came up with the idea to give Westlife and their management our views on the cancelled European tour. I offered my help in making a bundle of all these messages and try to give this to anyone related to Westlife in Glasgow later this month. The band are also very sad to announce that they have had to cancel their European tour dates this May. Westlife were very keen to perform this tour in Europe, but due to complicated production reasons beyond their control, they have been forced to cancel dates in Germany, Denmark and Norway. They hope to return to Europe very soon, and thank you for your kind understanding. Contact your ticket outlet for details of a refund.

Small update for tonight with a sad message for all the Norwegian fans.Westlife('s management) decided to cancel the show in Norway on the 26th of May. Reason given is not being able to ship the stage to Norway in time, from Denmark. But to be honest, I think all of us European fans could be in the position of losing our shows now, because they cancelled Oslo & added a Belfast date right before the German date. So there's defenitely no time for shipping there. Well anyway on with the update:

| RIP Heath Ledger. I never really saw any movies featuring this actor (he played one of the gay guys in Brokeback Mountain), but I was highly shocked when I heard the tragic news this morning. 28 is way too young to die. Heath was a respected and very talented actor, and will be missed in Hollywood. So because of this tragic news, updates will be here tomorrow guys. PS. Norway is added to the Westlife tour daes (26th May in Oslo, Spectrum) |

| Ok guys, I have a few things to tell you. No, don't be afraid, nothing really serious. First of all: Please don't be expecting too many updates from me until the new year, as I have this big project / assignment I have to finish before January 10th, and I'm afraid I won't have as much spare time as I'd like to have these coming weeks. Second, as you might have read westlife.com held this Fan Home Of The Week competition, and our (Sandra, Wendy and mine) submission won one of the rounds. And if you like our picture, please vote for us to be THE fan home. And then a new layout is coming really soon. Ceebs, thanks for your submission, I'll add that as soon as I have some time. And last but maybe not least, there's a rumour going on (this has been in the Mirror newpaper), that the Westlife partners would have a role in the new Westlife video. Exciting!
